Mobile phone market in Algeria: A steady upward trend
Algiers– The mobile phone market in Algeria witnessed a considerable enterprise development with over 3 million mobile phones sold in 2005, while the import sale made by many distributors, also "exponentially" increased. At 2006 first quarter again, nearly one million (983,425) mobile phones were imported for $82 million, the equivalent of 600 million DA, according to figures of the National Customs Information and Statistics Centre (CNIS).
